Your privacy is our priority. Chores is built from the ground up to protect your family's data using Apple's secure iCloud infrastructure. This policy explains how we handle your information.

1. Where Your Data is Stored

Chores uses Apple's CloudKit technology. All of your household data (chores, completion history, allowance ledgers, and profile names) are stored directly in your private iCloud database. We (the developers) do not have servers and cannot access, view, or modify your household data.

2. No Data Collection

We do not collect or store any personal information on our own external servers. Chores does not require an account or a login separate from your Apple ID. Your identity and security are managed entirely by Apple.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Chores offers optional features through subscriptions. All transaction processing and payment information are handled securely by Apple via the App Store. We do not have access to your credit card information, bank details, or billing address. We only receive notification of whether a subscription is active and its expiration date to unlock premium features.

4. Photo Evidence and Subtasks

If you choose to use the Photo Evidence feature, images you capture are uploaded directly to the shared iCloud container for your household. These photos are only accessible to the members you have explicitly invited to your household and stay within the Apple iCloud ecosystem.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete individual chores, completions, or your entire household's data at any time from within the app's settings. Since all data is stored in your iCloud account, deleting the household or resetting data in the app permanently removes it from Apple's servers.

6. Third-Party Services

We do not share, sell, or trade any user data with third parties. We do not include any tracking SDKs or advertising networks in the Chores app.
